The Tournament
The United States to Host in 2024
The 2024 Copa América will be held in the United States from June 20 to July 14, 2024. This will be the first time that the tournament has been held outside of South America.
The tournament will feature 16 teams, including all 10 CONMEBOL (South American Football Confederation) members and six CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football) members. The teams will be divided into four groups of four, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage.
The United States was selected as the host nation in January 2023. The tournament will be played in 10 cities across the country, including New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, and Seattle.
The Format
The tournament will be played in a single-elimination format, with the winner of each match advancing to the next round. The final will be played on July 14, 2024, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
